Redemption for a mum…

A few weeks ago I blogged about my personal guilt over not bringing The Peanut to an apple farm/pumpkin patch (click here for the original post). Well, the husband, The Peanut and I were able to make it to Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow, MA, on Saturday (highly recommended). With this visit, we officially passed another milestone on the path of yuppie parenthood (which involves  a $22 rubber girafffe and paying $15 to “pick your own” bag of apples). I’m also happy to say I have joined the ranks of every other thirty-something parent I “know” on facebook.

We had a great time picking apples, eating cider donuts, posing around pumpkins, and observing animals at the petting zoo.

We supported local agriculture (feels good, especially in this economy).

Best of all, I did not have to resort to propping The Peanut on my front stoop surrounded by various gourds and fruits. Here are some pictures taken over the course of the day.

Me having fun picking apples…finally, a dream fulfilled!
And enjoying the “fruits” of my labors (pun intended, obviously)
Posing amongst the pumpkins
The Peanut clearly enjoys Mr. Billy Goat
I hope your Halloween was every bit as fun as mine!

Looks like you all had great fun. The Peanut is SO adorable! :) Following you from MBC.

  2. It does look like you have a great time. I didn’t get my daughter to anything like that . . . she’s 7 months old. Perhaps it won’t add too much to her therapy bills at this stage to have such a sucky mom!

    ;)

I don’t think we have any places like the one you went. I would have totally been there.
