We spent Saturday in Brooklyn, brunching at a restaurant called “Applewood”. It was completely kid friendly, right down to the brightly colored plastic cutlery our server offered Gemma. The girls were in fine form – but it wasn’t a problem (a full half of the tables were occupied by nosiy children). I ordered the heirloom tomato sandwich, and it didn’t disappoint. Is there anything better than a tomato that’s perfectly in season? I can’t get enough of them these days.
A trip to the park and ride on the swings, followed by a fairly substantial walk, and the girls were just done. It was the best type of day; everyone went to bed early, and slept well.
