I’d been meaning to sign up for Stitch Fix for a while, and finally scheduled my first “fix” a few weeks ago. My sister and another friend have used the service with great results, and I was hoping to break out of some shopping habits (multiple versions of the same black shirt, for example).
My items arrived on Saturday, and I couldn’t be happier. Five pieces in total; a tunic, a sweater, a pair of (purple!) skinny jeans, a coat, and a dress. I was particularly pleased to note that most of it was machine washable (dry clean only isn’t really practical with an infant). Everything’s reasonably priced, and you simply send back what you aren’t interested in. I wore the dress this weekend, to a friend’s birthday party, and got so many compliments. It felt great to get fancied up for a change (I spend most of my time in casual items).
I turned into a pumpkin around 11pm, and reality hit like a brick wall two hours later when both children woke simultaneously (they have an uncanny ability to sense when I’ve had too much fun).
Just a little reminder of why I’m usually in bed by 9:30.
