Hello, and I’m so glad you found me! My name is Sarah and I started The Stroller Ballet as a kind of interactive baby book for my (then baby, now four year old) daughter, Gemma. Funny thing is, I’ve never been motivated to journal before doing it online (I guess I’m a closet techie). Since beginning my journey in blogging, I’ve been impressed by the sense of community that exists in this world. I’ve actually made “friends” online. At one point I may have considered this “weird”, now I just see it as fortunate.
In July 2010, my husband finished training as a surgeon, and we moved from Boston to New York City so that he could begin his career. I love living in New York for so many reasons; the resources, the diversity (particularly relevant to a bi-cultural family), the wealth of activities and cultural institutions. There’s just an energy to this City that’s indescribable.
In January of 2013 we welcomed a second daughter to the world, Cleo. Our family now feels complete.
Although I began with posts primarily about motherhood, this blog has expanded to include articles on fashion, food, and decor. I find writing cathartic, and love that I’m documenting our lives as they are.
